Testimonials

catmousekill Shanghai, China - “Unforgettable stay in Kalimpong”

"Holumba Haven is a cozy, beautiful and natural homestay and a perfect choice for anyone who wants some peace in their travels. Many thanks to Tinlee, who helped to organize things whenever I asked for help, and to the kitchen staff for always making the tastiest meals. The surroundings in this homestay made me feel even more connected to nature with beautiful flowers surrounding the area and hearing the birds in the morning. The cottage where I stayed, the Magnolia Cottage, was comfortable, clean and spacious with beautiful decorations. When I return to Kalimpong, I will definitely stay at Holumba again!"

alpa s,Kathmandu, Nepal - “Chillax !”

"Not a fancy hotel, away from the city noise n traffic, this is truly a haven you can relax n meditate, retreat to. You are also likely to make new friends at the dining hall. Explore the rest of the sights n come back to this peace. City dwellers starved of greenery will love the greens."

ariba2612 : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - “Enriched with natural beauty”

"Holumba Haven is a different resort, built right in the middle of abundant trees. The wooden cottages had three beautifully-ancient looking bedrooms with a common area. A bonfire was lit every night outside the dinner hall (which was located in the middle of the resort). Everyone just sits around the bonfire in a cold weather, laughing and enjoying our time together. We could partly see the Himalayan mountains from the resort. The homemade food was scrumptious and the staff were all extremely hospitable. I have spent one of my best time there."

Nimeth P - “The Hotel with a Chill”

"The hotel was fantastic, the rooms were very cosy, with a very handy heater. The staff were very kind and the food was fantastic. A few Dogs around helped to pass the time as well as the swings. the Bonfire in the night was the best part. Hoping to return to this wonderful hotel to stay at the next opportunity and will not hesitate to recommend to anyone who is looking for a pleasent stay in..."

Maryam Saleel K - “High up in the Mountains”

"Holumba Havens is a different resort from the ones I have stayed in before. Cottages are arranged in levels with a unique name each. They each have 3 airy rooms with detached bathrooms and a common area. The dining hall is at the centre of the resort which has an open area for you to sit and relax. A bonfire is lit on cold nights and everyone sits around warming their hands. The experience at Holumba is incomplete without mentioning the food. Food is homemade and is absoloutely delicious. If you're looking for a heavenly place to stay in while in Kalimpong, Holumba Havens is the place for you."

Samiksha K - “A Place with Beauty All Around”

"Holumba Havens is simply beautiful and heavenly looking hotel. They had given me the warm, cozy and homely feeling by staying there. It had many wooden cottages throughout the hotel, each with different names. One of them named "Wood Cot" where I stayed in. I personally loved this cottage. Each cottage had 3 wide spacious rooms. All rooms consisting a huge bed accompanying a single bed, clean and neat washroom with a changing room and a small seating area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very delicious and satisfying. Every night we used to have bonfire in a socializing area where all of us used to sit together and enjoy feeling the warmth of the bonfire and chat. The views from the hotel were absolutely amazing and beautiful. The whole estate was surrounded by lush greenery and cute dogs with other animals too, which made the environment really fresh and positive. I had a very relaxing and memorable stay in The Holumba Havens."

Ketan S - “It was nice like ice i guess”

"It is a very cozy resort where it feels you are staying in some guy's house. The management is very kind and walking around are a couple of dogs you can pet. Security is tight so you feel safe when you live there."

Basil K - “Nature All Around”

"Holumba Haven is a stunning looking resort. It combines its natural surroundings with the resort very well. We were provided with food that was fresh and delicious. The rooms were marvellous wooden cottages surrounded by lush green vegetation. It looked beautiful. There was common area where a bonfire was lit every night. People would meet here. This all led to a relaxing and adventurous stay in the Holumba Haven"

Aatif S - “Natural, comfortable surroundings”

"My room (treetops) was very comfortable and although we were in cold conditions, the showers still had running, hot water. All the rooms were unique and were spread out around a central courtyard where bonfires were kept each night. The specialty of this hotel were the animals that were kept around the place. There was around 3 or 4 dogs, and many chickens which made the place feel very peaceful as well as natural. The staff treated their guests like family which was very comforting. The meals at all times of the day were lovely and felt homemade which added to the comforting treatment."
